Where do the prices on here come from?

From our own jobs. The four cost guides — repiping, tankless, hydro jetting and slab leak repair — carry the range our work actually lands in around Baytown, along with what pushes a job to each end of it.

Almost every cost article you will find on those subjects quotes a national average assembled from somewhere else. It is the single most useless number in the trade: it averages a bungalow in Ohio with a two-storey in California and tells you nothing about a slab house on the Gulf Coast. Ours are ours.

What a range cannot do is price your house. Nobody can do that from a web page, and any site that gives you one number is guessing. The range tells you whether to keep reading; a visit tells you the number.
